Botox In Wimbledon

The Wimbledon Village Osteopath

39 Church Road
SW19 5DQ

Facial wrinkles are one of the most common aesthetic beauty concerns we see in our clients, and the use of Botox treatment allows us to reduce the appearance of existing wrinkles and help prevent the formation of new ones. We help treat some of the most common 'problem areas' on the face which are prone to wrinkles, such as the forehead and crow's feet, to give our clients a healthier and more youthful appearance.

Alongside treating the signs of ageing, Botox has a number of other uses. Many younger people are opting for a treatment known as 'baby Botox', a pre-emptive treatment designed to help reduce the formation of wrinkles and keep them looking younger for longer. It can also be used in some cases to prevent excessive sweating when other medical approaches have not been successful.

The results of the Botox treatment are fully visible in the first couple of weeks following the treatment, and clients can expect the results to last between 3 and 5 months.

We are pleased to offer our clients a follow up consultation following the treatment to make sure they're completely happy with the results. Treatment Areas

Injecting Botox helps to relax and smoothen horizontal lines and the vertical wrinkles between your eyes. It works by relaxing muscles, which cause these wrinkles to appear. Botox injection on the forehead is now an FDA approved treatment. However, it needs to be done by a professional to avoid drooping or uneven eyebrows. The dosage starts low and, as the weeks go by, the professional will determine how much more Botox to inject. The injections help to get rid of lines that make you seem worried or stressed out. Further treatment will be required every three to six months to maintain your new look.

Frown (Glabella)

The glabella lines are vertical lines between your eyebrows, which appear due to years of frowning. They are associated with emotions such as stress, anger, frustration or tiredness. These lines appear due to the glabella muscles contracting, which cause the eyebrows to come closer together and pull downwards. With a Botox injection, you will have a positive and relaxed appearance. The frown area muscles can give you an antagonistic look, so when you treat these lines it can improve how people react upon first meeting you. After all, first impressions are quite important. This matters when going on dates or even attending business meetings.

Crow’s Feet

Crow’s feet, also called laugh lines, are wrinkles in the corners of the eyes. Unlike other lines, they can seem quite pronounced or deeper in the skin. The leading causes of Crow’s feet are UV exposure and age. No matter the reason, they are an uncomfortable reminder of ageing. In some cases, they may make you look a decade older than your actual age. The Botox injection will relax the muscles that cause the Crow’s feet to form, and as a result, you will look younger and feel more confident when going out. The injections are a bit ticklish, but anaesthesia is not needed. After treatment, you can get back to your daily schedule.

Nefertiti Neck Lift

The Nefertiti Neck Lift is a non-invasive treatment for the jawline and neck. It is a simple alternative to invasive operations. It is named after an Egyptian queen who was known for her elegant and distinctive jawline. While some patients will eventually require more invasive surgery with age, the Nefertiti Neck Lift can produce visually impressive results. It entails placing Botox injections in the lower jawline and the underside of the neck inside the platysma muscle. This helps to improve jawline definition by rebalancing underlying muscles. A well-defined jawline and long neck have long been seen as a sign of beauty, and a well-toned and smooth neck is what you get from this procedure.

Lift The Corners Of The Mouth

Genetics, natural ageing, or weight loss cause drooping mouth corners. This leads to the appearance of marionette lines that run from the mouth corners down the chin, and with time, these lines can become deep wrinkles. They often make a person look discontent or sad, which is why you should get rid of them. Once your health is mapped out and pictures have been taken an anaesthetic cream is applied to these lines. Each one then gets about ten injections with a fine needle. The treatment takes just a few minutes, and afterwards, you will be given an ice pack to cool down. If you are often told to cheer up even when you are happy, this treatment is for you.

Smokers / Lipstick Lines

Lipstick lines or smokers lips are a telltale sign of your real age and some unhealthy habits like tanning and smoking. However, with Botox injections, you can now get rid of them. Even if you have never smoked in your life, some behaviours, like whistling and taking duck face selfies, could cause fine lines on your lips. With a Botox injection, the muscles on your lips can be relaxed. This will help the lines appear shallower and less likely to imprint on the skin. Some of the effects will be noticeable immediately, but others could take some weeks to appear.

Bunny Nose

Bunny lines are fine lines that appear when scrunching up your nose when laughing or smiling deeply. While the main cause is aging, they can also develop after a Botox treatment, appearing diagonally or straight along the sides of the nose. After a Botox injection, some of your other facial muscles are overworked, causing the bunny lines to be more pronounced. Ironically, the best treatment is Botox injections along these lines. As these lines are becoming a major public issue, more people are choosing to get rid of them. However, the treatment needs to be performed by an expert to avoid temporary drooping of the corners of the mouth.

Hyperhidrosis (Excess Sweating)

Hyperhidrosis is abnormally excessive sweating. For instance, people with the issue often sweat through clothes or drip sweat, and sufferers perspire even in winter. The prescription medication works well but only for some cases. Botox injections are a new method to treat the problem when prescription medication fails. The treatment is used for excessive sweating in the armpits as an alternative to invasive procedures. People with the condition have overactive nerves that cause the perspiration, but Botox effectively paralyzes those nerves and helps to reduce excessive sweating.
