Forehead Botox treatment targets the horizontal lines which appear as you raise your eyebrows or which may be visible at rest. These lines respond well to the relaxing effects of the Botox on the forehead muscle. For clients wanting a particularly soft result, “Baby Botox” is an option our doctors can provide where you still retain forehead movement but the deepest lines and wrinkles are reduced. The forehead area works best when combined with the frown (glabella) area rather than done in isolation. Our doctors are very experienced at the delicate art of treating the forehead with Botox and will take their time to identify exactly what result you are looking for. Some clients line a strong result, others a softer one. Some request a more raised eyebrow to lift the eyelids and others want their eyebrows to stay in the same position. All these tweaks are possible with carefully administered Botox.
Forehead Botox can be especially helpful at preventing tension headaches and migraines.
The glabella lines are the vertical lines between your eyebrows which appear when you frown in anger, through concentration or when squinting in the sun. These lines appear due to the glabella muscles contracting which causes the eyebrows to come closer together and pull downwards. The glabella muscle is one of the strongest muscles in the face which means the resulting lines often form at an early age, even in your 20’s. Botox in this area works beautifully and will prevent a deep crease from ever forming between the brows. This preventative benefit is why so many people decide to keep using Botox every 3-5 months. However, if you decide to stop treatment at any point then your face will simply return to its natural state and you will still have gained the preventative benefits from the time when you were having the Botox treatment. Occasionally when the frown line is deep at rest, dermal filler will be required to enhance the results of the Botox further.
Crow’s feet, also called laugh lines, are wrinkles at the corners of the eyes. Reducing these wrinkles with Botox will not change the way you smile and treating this area works well when combined with Botox in the frown area.
Bunny lines are the fine lines that appear as you scrunch up your nose when laughing or smiling widely. Clients will sometimes opt for this treatment before a holiday as squinting into the sun will tan the nose except for where the skin folds into these bunny nose creases, therefore leaving them white and more prominent.
Showing excessive gum when smiling is a common complaint and can easily be correcting by relaxing the muscle above the top lip and therefore allowing the upper lip to rest lower and cover more of the gum and teeth.
Genetics, natural ageing, or weight loss cause drooping mouth corners. This leads to the appearance of marionette lines which run from the mouth corners downwards towards the chin, making someone look discontent or sad. Botox to target the depressor muscles stops the corners of the mouth being pulled down and the mouth can then rest in a neutral position. Dermal filler may be required to enhance the results and lift the corners of the mouth further.
Lipstick lines or barcode lines run vertically downwards towards your top lip. A very small dose of Botox can easily smooth these lines. Medical skincare options or dermal fillers may also be required to improve the skin quality and texture in this delicate area and therefore create the best overall results.
The Nefertiti Neck Lift is a non-invasive treatment for the jawline and neck. It is named after an Egyptian queen who was known for her elegant and distinctive jawline. The Botox injections are targeted around the lower jawline and the platysma muscles of the neck. This procedure works well with our Profhilo neck remodelling treatment which improves the quality and texture of the overlying skin and therefore allows the Botox to have maximum effect.
Hyperhidrosis is abnormal, excessive sweating. People suffering from this condition find that is affects their quality of life in many ways. Botox can be an effective treatment to reduce the overactive sweat glands and therefore reduce armpit sweat to more normal levels. Our doctors map out the area with the most concentrated sweat glands and will target those areas with larger Botox doses, thereby getting the most effective outcome. This treatment can be lifechanging and has one of the highest levels of satisfaction of all of our treatments. The dose required to treat hyperhidrosis is high and therefore we charge £500. However, the treatment does last slightly longer than facial Botox at 6 months or longer.
The dentist or doctor will use their expertise to carefully map out the way your muscles move with white pencil and decide how to target them to achieve the best results possible.
Tiny insulin needles are used to place the solution under the skin. With the correct technique this is nearly painless.
Initially small bumps appear where the Botulin Toxin solution has been placed but these resolve within 20 minutes.
After 1-2 weeks the area will be smoother and the texture of the skin improved.
The doctor will review you and offer a complimentary top up, if required.
